Arrive Warsaw.
On arrival at Warsaw airport and we are transferred depart for your hotel Relax and settle in to your hotel before joining your Travelling Director where you will be introduced to your fellow travellers and enjoy a welcome dinner.

The Polish Capital of Warsaw
Join a Local Expert in the morning to see the Old Town, Royal Castle and Palace of Culture. Visit the Chopin Memorial in the Lazienki Park. Pay your respects at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes and then enjoy a free afternoon to explore at your own pace. Perhaps attend a Chopin recital or delve into Warsaw’s inspirational past?

Auschwitz and Czestochowa to Krakow (2)
Travel south to Czestochowa to visit the 14th century Monastery of Jasna Góra, famous for the Black Madonna, said to have been painted by St. Luke. Continue across the Polish plains to Oswiecim, better known throughout the world by its German name, Auschwitz. Join a local historian, and spend reflective moments amid the remains of the concentration camp and the memorials to those who died in the Holocaust. Afterwards we arrive in Krakow for our two night stay.

The Damsels and Dragons of Kraków
This morning ascend Wawel Hill to see the Renaissance castle with a Local Expert. Visit the cathedral, the final resting place of the Kings of Poland and the former seat of Archbishop Karol Wojtyla, later known to the world as Pope John Paul II. Enjoy a walking tour of Krakow. See the medieval Sukiennice Cloth Hall and visit the 14th-century St. Mary’s Basilica, the most important church in the city. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the trumpeter in the tower. Perhaps spend time browsing the shops for traditional folklore products, or take an optional trip visit the world-famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, In a maze of tunnels deep below the surface, witness unique salt sculptures, sunken lakes and even a glorious cathedral carved entirely out of rock salt by the miners?

Krakow – Golden Prague (2) Today we head for the Czech border, high in the Ore Mountains and continue to the capital city of Prague for our two night stay.

Prague, City of a Hundred Spires Explore Prague with Insight Choice. Choose to walk the courtyards of the Castle and visit the imposing St. Vitus Cathedral. Alternatively, join your Local Expert for a walk through the Jewish Quarter and learn about a different side of the history of Prague.
The city is then yours to explore. Perhaps walk in the footsteps of kings along the Royal Route? Czechs are passionate about their beer, so be sure to try the local pilsners, alongside the Czech cuisine.

Bohemian Ceský Krumlov – Stately Vienna (2)
A journey through the green Bohemian countryside will bring you to Ceské Budejovice. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of a local brewery to sample the beer and discover the secrets of how this golden vintage is made. Continue on to Ceský Krumlov, a picturesque medieval town nestled on the banks of the Vltava. Walk the narrow cobbled streets and arch-covered footpaths, past colorful townhouses and centuries-old inns. With a Local Expert, visit the fairy-tale, red-roofed castle, considered by many to be the finest in the land. Afterwards, we cross the border into Austria and enjoy a delightful journey to Vienna.

The Habsburgs of Vienna
Vienna owes much of its present-day charm to the long reign of the Habsburgs. Join your Local Expert for a private visit of Maria Theresa’s Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens. Then, take some great photos on a circuit of the famous Ring Road. This grand boulevard, built along the lines of the old city walls, showcases many of the capital’s architectural masterpieces, including the Opera House, magnificent Hofburg Imperial Residence, Austrian Parliament Building and Karlskirche. Explore Vienna with Insight Choice. Choose between a visit to a traditional Viennese café to enjoy local specialties of coffee and Sachertorte or alternatively, join a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience during an inclusive workshop and take to the floor in a Viennese Waltz dance workshop designed to support the visually impaired community.

Vienna – Bratislava – Budapest (2)
We cross into Slovakia to visit its capital Bratislava featuring it’s imposing castle. Later journey along the Danube Bend, a narrow twisting valley in the pretty Carpathian Basin, stopping in Esztergom to view its Castle Hill, domed Cathedral, and St. Thomas Hill. We follow the scenic landscape to the romantic city of Budapest where we will spend the next two nights

Delve into Budapest
Stroll through the alleys of the Old Town of Buda with a Local Expert. Admire the facade of Matthias Church and take in the view from the Fisherman’s Bastion. At Matthias Church, you will either listen to an organ recital or visit Liszt Music Academy followed by an enchanting recital. In the evening, we dine at a local restaurant.

Budapest – Ljubljana (2)
Our journey continues as we enter Slovenia and it’s capital Ljubljana for our two night stay. Your Local Expert will reveal the Baroque elegance of the Slovenian capital. The medieval castle stands as an ancient guardian, the City Hall and Cathedral of St. Nicholas testify to its historical importance, while the Triple Bridge spans the river adorned with cafes and restaurants.

Ljubljana Bled Excursion This morning we make our way to Lake Bled. Spend today exploring this magnificent setting on your terms, but not before a scenic boat ride on Lake Bled’s crystal-clear waters to Bled Island to view its Church of the Assumption.

The Postojna Caves and Zagreb
Leave the Slovenian capital behind and visit the world-famous Postojna Caves. Step aboard the cave train and descend into a subterranean world of stunning stalactites, stalagmites, columns and curtains. Marvel at the five-meter tall Brilliant, the cave’s most beautiful stalagmite. Afterwards, we arrive in Croatia and it’s capital Zagreb for our final night. Join your Local Expert to explore the two-tiered capital of Croatia. Drive through the squares of the Lower Town, Donji Grad, designed to give a sense of grandeur. See the Mimara Art Museum in Roosevelt Square and continue to Ban Josip Jelacic Square en route to the cathedral. Board the city’s funicular to the medieval Upper Town, Gornji Grad. It’s a network of little streets, stretching between the Kaptol and Gradec hills. View the former Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St. Mark’s Church and the Lotršcak Tower. In the evening we enjoy a Celebration Dinner to cap off our journey.
