I stayed at the Gran Muthu Rainbow Cayo Guillermo in April 2023 and again in April 2024. Lovely resort! Opened in December 2019 and then closed 3 months later due to Covid, so when I went in APR 2023, it was still practically a brand new resort. We enjoyed it very much, food was pretty good (you know, for Cuba), and we didn't experience too much re supply shortages. Rooms were beautiful, we had oceanview junior suite and the view of the water from the room is spectacular! the entire resort is very clean, staff is lovely!

Did a trip with 7 fellow Maritime Travel agents hosted by Pedal and Sea Adventures (based out of Nova Scotia) Pedal and Sea Adventures -it was the trip of a lifetime! Croatia is a beautiful country, very clean, spectacular scenery, excellent food, and such friendly locals! We did a yacht and cycling trip around some of the islands in the northern part of Croatia, Kvarner Bay. Most of us used e-bikes -great fun, and very easy to ride if you don't cycle on a regular basis. I can't say enough about what a great company Pedal and Sea is -it exceeded my expectations! the yacht was beautiful, food on board was excellent, staff and guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the itinerary they put together was wonderful! The sailing time was minimal and we were always docked by suppertime, never sailing at night. We had buffet breakfast on board daily , a sit down lunch daily, three suppers on board the yacht, and four dinners out in the towns-prices were reasonable for sure. Cycling on these islands had very little traffic for the most part so don't worry about traffic! They gave us a map each day, start here and end there, you couldn't get lost, and were pretty much free to go at your own pace and able to stop as you like to take breaks for some incredible photo opportunities.Pedal and Sea also offers Yoga cruises in Croatia as well with a little bit of hiking and cycling thrown in, and bike tours in NINE countries-definitely the way to go if you would like an active holiday! Vacationed in central and Western Newfoundland for 10days in June 2023, absolutely loved it, one of my favourite trips ever! Took the overnight ferry crossing from Sydney to Port Aux Basques-would definitely recommend getting a cabin! Stayed the first night in Gander, then off to Twillingate the next day to see icebergs!! Did a boat tour and got screeched in with Iceberg Quest boat tours, it was excellent! then headed to Fogo Island for 2 nights, sightseeing and hiking-saw our first moose there!. Did not stay at the Fogo Island Inn, but the offer tours daily so we did that, and it was very interesting. Then off to Deer Lake -one of the highlights was definitely the Western Brook Pond fjord tour-spectacular! Then headed north, stayed one night at Port Au Choix enroute to L'anse Aux Meadows to check out the Viking Settlement. Another highlight was dinner at the Norseman restaurant in L'anse Aux Meadows-one of the best meals with the best service we've ever had! then headed back to Deer Lake and visit to Gros Morne National park for a couple of days of hiking and sightseeing, and got to see some caribou. A wonderful vacation, I will definitely go back again, would like to spend more time at Gros Morne.

Travelled March 22-27, 2019 to the Yukon and NWT, had an amazing trip! Travelled with Air North www.flyairnorth.com  from Vancouver to Whitehorse, they are excellent-fantastic complimentary fresh food onboard, even a warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert! All made on site at Air North headquarters in Whitehorse.   Our first day at Inn on the Lake, on Marsh lake, Yukon., just outside Whitehorse. https://www.innonthelake.ca -a beautiful inn with rooms in the main lodge, or we stayed in the cabin beside the main lodge. Walked on the Alaska highway,and went for a great hike in the woods, lots of animal tracks ?? Met with Ruby Range Adventures for some sightseeing  https://www.rubyrange.com ; Stopped at the wildlife preserve https://yukonwildlife.ca and hot springs on the way for a dip  http://takhinihotpools.com  . Wandered around town in the afternoon then had a very interesting tour of the McBride museum https://macbridemuseum.com , then pub crawl. Quick city tour then out to see Parks Canada National Historic site Dredge #4, https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/lhn-nhs/yt/klondike/culture/lhn-nhs_dn4 and a visit to Danoja zho cultural centre https://danojazho.ca -fascinating! -  and a short walkabout. Some of took the plunge and tried the Sourtoe Cocktail at the Sour Dough Saloon , located in the Downtown Hotel where we stayed that night https://downtownhotel.ca Day 4, flew with Air North from Dawson to Inuvik, NWT. Met by Tundra North Tours http://tundranorthtours.com ; travelled on the ice road from Inuvik to Aklavik, met some lovely elders who shared some of the life experiences with us (no pics of them), then on to the igloo village where we had an authentic local meal and spent the night in an igloo!  Day 5, left igloo village for some snowmobiling to see a 3000 -head reindeer herd , very cool! Then drove to Tuktoyaktuk -stood on the frozen Arctic Ocean and climbed up a pingo- then back to Inuvik for the night, stayed at the MacKenzie Hotel https://www.mackenziehotel.com and dinner at a neat little hole in the wall, Alestine's.    Day 6, quick tour around Inuvik for some sightseeing and shopping then flight back to Whitehorse. We had the opportunity to do some glass blowing at Lumel studios in Whitehorse, a very unique experience! https://www.lumelstudios.com This was my first time in the Yukon and Inuvik NWT, had a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back! the people are wonderful and there is so much to see and do!
