Red Lion Hotel -  Great location - newar the center of the city just off of highway #93 Attached to the Kalispell Center Mall The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Offered a minifridge, microwave and coffee maker.  We were in a room with 2 queen beds with white linens.  Very clean and quiet - you could not hear anyone in the halls.  The staff was very friendy and corteous.  The hotel offered a sauna, whirlpoola nd a family friendy pool that over looked the outdoor courtyard.  the outdoor courtyard had table and chairs to sit and relax at as well as a gas fire pit in the center to sit around and enjoy.  They offered a hot breakfast each morning in the indoor courtyard area - unfortunately we did not go teh first morning.  The second moring we had our times wrong and showed up late, the staff was nice and allowed us to grab a plate full of what was still out before packing everything up but we did miss the omlette station.  The lobby was large but cozy, they have large chairs and couches to relax in. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone- they do offer agent rates Holiday Inn  -  Located near the main shopping area off highway #93 on the way to Whitefish Walking distance to some shopping and restaurtants, big box store - others were accross the highway would not recommend to walk accross if possible Clean hotel and the staff seem pleasent They do offer a hot breakfast in a spacious breakfast room As well as a large indoor pool and hot tub This is a dog friendly hotel for a daily fee and deposit I was able to peek into a room and they seemd like a good size and clean The Kalispell are is good for cross boarder shopping - not everything was an amazing deal but some thing were good There is also the Mystery House - Montana's Vortex in Columbia Falls about a 15-20 minute drive east on highway #2 Definately need to visit - only $9.00 usd per person to enter, the tour was enjoyale and friendly staff the house is a definate mystery - but very cool to see.  Would recommend to do it though on a day when not traveling/driving too far I felt nautious for about a hour after as well in the Columbia Falls area but we did not go to was the BigSky Waterpark we drove past it and it looks like a great place to take a family for a day of fun Not to far away as well is Glacier National Park - if you drive in from the east side through the Peigan Boarder crossing you will have to drive through the mountains it is a beautiful drive but very narrow lanes
