An Interview With Dineshio Barr

How many years have you been selling travel?
I have been selling travel for almost 2 years.

What are your hobbies?
Travelling , videography and photography ( mainly of my travels) ! I also enjoy playing basketball as it is my favorite sport.

What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?
I am very adventurous so I'm into fun and strenuous excursions. I also enjoy exploring the resort, taking pictures of the resort, water sports/ activities and touring the resort.

What are your favorite destinations?
My favorite destination right now has to be Italy! It was my first international trip/first trip to Europe. The architecture , the people, the scenery.. everything is just so unique in Italy. No Traveler ever forgets that one destination that they first went to and fell in love with and for me that was and will always be Italy!

What languages do you speak?
English and I can speak a little Spanish as well.

Travel History

Italy Trip - 2023

I travelled to 6 cities in Italy such as Rome, Assissi, Florence, Pisa, Venice and Milan. It was my first ever FAM and I did it with Globus. We saw many attractions and skip the lines with reservations for every excursion and tour we partake in. The ladies I went with and our tour guide Guacomo made the trip an unforgetable experience. I had the most phenomenal time!

Trip to Toronto - 2023

I went to Toronto for my birthday and it was a trip filled with memories and good energy. I went to a museum, kart racing, and even a aquarium. For a trip that was only 3 days we did so much and it was a birthday trip I will never forget !

As a small child, I've always had a passion for travel. I made up in my mind that I was going to travel the world and I would stop at nothing to achieve this goal. How was I going to make this dream a reality? I had no idea. honestly. I went to school in the Bahamas ( where I originate from ) and graduated from high School with my diploma and also with a scholarship. With that scholarship, I came to Canada where I attended Holland College and took the Tourism and Travel Management Course. After successfully completing my degree in the field, I finally got a job in my field, which is here at Maritime Travel as a Travel Consultant. I'm super ecstatic as I will be able to complete my lifelong dream of travelling the world!
