Northern Spain

Year: 2017

Travel to Madrid , Pamplona, San Sebastian , Bilbao, Santander, Covadonga , Oviedo, Zamora Salamanca and Toledo.

It was a wonderful trip from visiting the museum houses the largest collection of European art in the world.  Pamplona this city is famous for the San Fermin Festival, Commonly know as the Running of the Bulls.

San Sebastian the beautiful Bahia de La Concha Beach and is know as the culinary capital of Spain.

Santander-Covadonga-Oviedo spectacular scenery awaits today as you travel through the Picos De Europa, a mountain range rich in flora and Fauna.  The region sits between two main pilgrim routes and has numerous historic market towns.

 

Zamora-Salamanca

Drive through the region of Castile-Leon to Zamora, know as a museum of Romanesque art.  See the 12th century cathedral with its richly sculptured Bishop's Door and the scaled Dome.  Salamanca sightseeing  tour including vies of  Spain's oldest University, the Cathedra as well as a walk through the imposing Plaza Mayor

 

Toledo

Visit the church of Santo Tome home to one of El Greco's most famous paintings.  The burial of Count Orgaz.
