Arrive in Halifax and check into our accommodations, ideally located in the downtown core of this vibrant and cosmopolitan urban center on the Atlantic Ocean. This evening, you will be welcomed with true East Coast hospitality at our private Welcome Reception. You will also meet your tour escort and your fellow travelers. R

After breakfast, we discover the historical and modern highlights of Nova Scotia’s capital city on a private City Tour. Afterwards, it will be time to head to Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore. We will visit the renowned fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, the most photographed site in the Maritimes – Then take a scenic drive along St. Margaret’s Bay and through the postcard perfect Mahone Bay enroute to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg. Take a walking tour to fully experience one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage. We will end the afternoon as we check into a local hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner at our hotel this evening. CB D

Following breakfast, we head North for a leisurely scenic drive along the shores of the Bay of Fundy. Then it’s time to go back in history further than you ever imagined, as we explore Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See magnificently exposed layers of rock revealing the world’s most complete fossil record of life in the “Coal Age” of 300 million years ago. After crossing into New Brunswick, an unforgettable culinary experience awaits as you enjoy a scrumptious lobster dinner on a lobster boat. * Continue on to Moncton and check into your downtown hotel for the night. CB L D

This morning we will enjoy a full breakfast before discovering some of the most famous attractions. Explore the Bay of Fundy on the New Brunswick shores and learn about the world’s highest tides. Experience a true natural wonder, the Hopewell Rocks. Marvel at these massive flower-pot shaped formations sculpted by the tides. We will travel through Fundy National Park and on to the Picturesque St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea for our stay in the iconic Algonquin Hotel, one of Canada’s most charming resorts in one of North America’s most historic towns. This evening we will be treated to a delicious dinner while we savor the experience. B L D

This morning after breakfast there is time to explore Canada’s oldest seaside resort village where the quaint charm, friendly people, and beautiful architecture, of this coastal town is sure to captivate. After a lovely waterfront lunch experience a Whale Watching Boat Tour (weather permitting) on the Bay of Fundy before we travel to Canada’s first incorporated city, Saint John. Enjoy an orientation tour of the city, including Reversing Falls (depending on tide schedule), before checking into our centrally located accommodations. Dinner is on your own with lots of local options right outside your door. BB L

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and morning of exploring Saint John. After lunch on our own, we say goodbye to New Brunswick as we board a ferry which will take us across the Bay of Fundy and back to Nova Scotia. This is a relaxing day and a great opportunity to enjoy some wonderful seaside sights, sounds and smells. Our destination is Digby, known as the Sea Scallop Capital of Canada. We will check into the lovely Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa. The balance of the day is at your leisure. This evening we will enjoy a four-course dinner of local specialties at the hotel. This would be the perfect time to try the local scallops! BB D

Following a delicious buffet breakfast, we head out to discover Nova Scotia’s lush and historic Annapolis Valley. Acres of apple orchards, corn fields, vineyards and more are laid out for the eye to see. Our first stop is Port Royal National Historic Site for a guided tour at The Habitation. We then head to the town of Annapolis Royal. Originally a native Mi’kmaq settlement, in 1605 European settlers established North America’s first permanent settlement here. We will have some free time and lunch at leisure. This afternoon we will get a glimpse and a taste of Nova Scotia’s burgeoning wine country when we visit a local Annapolis Valley Winery or a tour and tasting. This afternoon we will check in to the Old Orchard Inn & Spa. There will be time to relax and take in the beautiful views from the sun deck, before enjoying dinner. BB D

After breakfast, it will be time to enter the Land of Evangeline, as we visit the Grand Pre-National Historic Site. Fact and romantic fiction blend as you will learn about the expulsion of the Acadians and the story behind Longfellow’s iconic poem. Then we head for beautiful Prince Edward Island, the land of Anne of Green Gables. Once only accessible by ferry, today we arrive via the Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge, before checking in to the Rodd Charlottetown hotel, our downtown home for the next two nights. This evening we will enjoy an authentic Lobster Supper with all the many trimmings! BB D

This is your day to be immersed in the very best Prince Edward Island has to offer. After breakfast, enjoy a free morning to explore Charlottetown, Canada’s birthplace on your own, or join our complimentary walking tour. This afternoon, drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields as you make your way to Prince Edward Island National Park. We will enjoy a delicious lunch of lobster and other local specialties at the PEI Preserve Company, and you can pick up some of their delicious jams, jellies and more (great gifts for people back home). Of course, we will visit Green Gables Heritage Site, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic Anne of Green Gables books. The balance of the afternoon and evening is yours. BB L

After breakfast, it’s time to say farewell to Prince Edward Island, as we chart our course for scenic Cape Breton Island and the world-famous Cabot Trail. We will take a Ferry over the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island. We’ll visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic site, commemorating the famous inventor of the telephone. Our destination is the stunning Keltic Lodge Resort & Spa in the heart of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, our home for this evening. This afternoon, there will be time to take in the beautiful mountain-and-and sea vistas. This evening we will enjoy a memorable dinner in the main dining room. BB D

Following a delicious buffet breakfast at the Lodge, we set off to experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America. The Cabot Trail winds around the rocky splendor of Cape Breton’s northern shore. Look-offs offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton’s rugged coastline so be sure to have your camera on hand. Our lunch will be a boxed lunch provided by Keltic Lodge. Some highlights will include a visit to Highland Village in Iona, where ancient Celtic arts, music and more continue to thrive. Tonight, we will stay in the charming village of Baddeck on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lakes. Alexander Graham Bell spent most of the last 32 years of his life here. Later we will check into the nearby Inverary Resort and enjoy a dinner of local specialties. BB BL D

After a hearty breakfast, we set out to discover The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. Words cannot do justice to this reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France. Roam the streets and chat with authentically costumed guides. We’ll enjoy lunch at the Fortress before proceeding back to Halifax and our hotel. This evening, you are on your own relaxing and rest up for your journey home the next day. BB L
