Today, enjoy an excursion to Toledo followed by some free time. At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel.

Madrid today is a strikingly modern city, the showcase of a country resolutely turned towards the future. Your Local Guide takes you to the Puerta del Sol, Plaza de España with its monument to Cervantes, the Parliament, Cibeles Fountain, elegant Calle Alcala, and Paseo de Castellana. Today's highlight is a visit to the palatial PRADO MUSEUM, founded in 1819, and considered to have one of the finest collections of European art of the last eight centuries, with the works of Goya, El Greco, Rubens, Titian, and more.

Drive south through the arid landscapes of Don Quixote’s La Mancha to Cordoba, where sightseeing with a Local Guide includes the medieval Jewish Quarter, the MOSQUE OF THE CALIPHS, famous for its 850 pillars of porphyry, marble, and jasper, the Roman Bridge, and the remains of the Alcazar. Start with a visit to magnificent PLAZA DE ESPAÑA, set of the movies Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars. Meet your Local Guide, and hear about the city’s role in Roman times, its conquest by the Moors in 712 AD, and its contribution to the discovery of the New World. Admire Maria Luisa Park, the Golden Tower on the Guadalquivir River, and the university that was once the tobacco factory of Carmen fame. Also visit the magnificent CASA DE PILATOS, a mixture of Moorish and Roman architecture with a splendid collection of Roman sculptures. Sightseeing with a Local Guide features Granada’s main attraction: the ALHAMBRA COMPLEX. The mighty yet graceful citadel was planned by 13thcentury Moorish ruler Al Ahamar. A fantasy of “lace in stone” surrounded by arabesque gardens and fountains, it affords superb views of the Old Quarter and Sacromonte, a mountain occupied by Gypsy cave dwellers. On arrival at Málaga Airport and after baggage collection, you will be met in the arrival hall and transferred to the Melia Costa del Sol Hotel. On arrival at the hotel check into your rooms and the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Spend the day in Gibraltar. Travel to St Michael’s Cave, which sees thousands of visitors a year wandering through its huge caverns with just a few steps and easy access. From St Michael’s Cave we will ascend to O'Hara's Battery located at the highest point of the Rock of Gibraltar at 1383ft. After visiting O’Hara’s Battery we will go to the top of the Rock where you will see breathtaking views all around Gibraltar. Then off to Moorish Castle, a medieval fortification in Gibraltar which is made up of a number of buildings, the Moorish Castle stands proudly on the Eastern elevation of the Rock. Once we have finalized the Moorish Castle we will exit the Upper Rock Nature Reserve driving down through the old town of Gibraltar in direction to Casemates Square the beginning of Main Street. Here you will have time for lunch (on your own) and wonder through the narrow streets, you may also do some shopping in the Main Street area. After this break of lunch and shopping we will head towards the 100 Ton Gun. Following the 100 Ton Gun we will drive to Europa Point. This site is located at the southernmost point at the end of the Rock of Gibraltar on this location you will see breathtaking views across the Strait of Gibraltar into North Africa Morocco along with the bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns along its shores. We will also drive over the airport runway towards the Spanish border just meters away from Spain you will even see Spanish Customs at work. Finally, we will return to Costa del Sol with your bags full, enjoying the views of the Moroccan coastline across the Mediterranean. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Get a taste of traditional Malagan village life with a private, half-day tour to charming Mijas Pueblo. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with typical whitewashed homes and hanging flowerpots while a guide shares insight into local culture and history. Come with us to visit the fascinating city of Setenil de las Bodegas & Ronda, one of the most historic locations in southern Andalusia. Admire the beauty of its rugged landscapes and breathtaking views, feel the relaxing atmosphere of its streets in an hour of free time. After that, you will enjoy a sightseeing guided tour of its main attractions including Puerta de Almocabar (Almocabar Gate), the Iglesia del Espiritu Santo (Church of the Holy Spirit), the Town Hall Square, and the Iglesia de Santa Maria la Mayor (Church of Santa Maria la Mayor). We will continue with a full visit of the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, one of the oldest bull rings in Spain and also site of some of the most important events in bullfighting history. You will also enjoy the visit of the bullfighting museum inside. Later on, we will go to a local winery called Bodegas La Sangre de Ronda, a wine museum that explores the historical and cultural impact wine has had on this region. Taste some local wines. Free time for lunch (on your own) and discover the city at leisure before we drive you back to your hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel.
