An Interview With Doreen Grattan-Gay

How many years have you been selling travel?
I first began my travel career as a flight attendant and later as an Airline Customer Ticketing, Freight and Weight and Balance Agent. I was approached by a local travel agency to open and manage a satellite office at the local mall. I would say putting all of my years and experience together I would have 27 years in the travel industry.

What are your hobbies?
Wilderness hiking, Reading, Painting,snowshoeing, skiing all kinds of physical activities.

What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?
Water activities, snorkelling, scuba diving ,visiting historic sites

What are your favorite destinations?
Greece, Paris,London,Europe South Africa, Northern Canada, Western Canada and Alaska

Western Transatlantic Cruise - 2017

In April 2017 , I embarked upon my first Transatlantic Cruise for a 15 day voyage with Royal Caribbean International departing from the port of San Juan, Puerto Rico to Civitavecchia, Rome The service, the food, the entertainment, the daily activities, the ports of call along the way were all superb. The 8 days at sea were truly amazing, the weather was great and the ocean was mesmerizing. The time spent at sea was a great opportunity to unwind and truly relax, with ample time to enjoy all the things a cruise has to offer- such as their great gym facilities with floor to ceiling windows looking out to sea, yoga classes, spa treatments, dance classes, afternoon and nightly entertainment, taking part in challenges put on by the Cruise staff- if you like cruising and enjoy what a ship has to offer such as great dining and excellent service,than you should definitely consider a 13 to 17 day cruise- you will not be disappointed.
